摘要

This work describes an Intelligent Aluminum Fluoride (AlF_3)rnAddition Strategy in Electrolytic Cells, based on Fuzzy Logicrnconcepts, wherein the knowledge retained by process specialists isrnqualitatively translated into a set of linguistic rules such as: IF THEN < action >. The usage of a Fuzzy Strategy isrnjustified by its natural capacity of dealing with inaccuraterninformation, along with the absence of a known available dynamicrnmodel which takes into account the knowledge acquired byrnprocess specialists in Albras for each Cell, instead of usingrnclassical methods for modeling the process whoserngreat complexity of the thermodynamic and electromagneticrnphenomena involved is a very awkward problem.
