I had the opportunity to check out some power slope scale flying recently, with the Inland Slope Rebels in Southern California. They hold a very large slope event every year, and we haven't been around the slopes for a spell, so it was a good chance to take some time to see what was new. To be honest, there was a lot of new stuff out there that you could consider to be a revolution or anything. But there was a really big increase in the level of scale detail and quality to be seen in the models. It used to be the only models on the slopes with high levels of detail were the large glass slippers resembling Schweitzers, Fox, and Discus models. But now you can see truly expert finishes on models that resemble jets, fighters, experimental aircraft, and civilian birds.
