摘要

Feeling a little job stress in your library? In the October edition of the American Library Association-Allied Professional Organization (ALA-APA) newsletter, Library Worklife: HR E-News for Today's Leaders, Brooklyn College Library's James Castiglione proposes several potential solutions to "burnout" among academic librarians. Among them are creating learning opportunities that keep employees active; participation in management decisions that give employees some power over their environment; and opportunities to voice complaints in scheduled, select environments. Castiglione even suggests a "vent party" to share pet peeves.
