CrossRef Adds Antiplagiarism

CrossRef has signed an agreement with iParadigms, LLC, creators of the Turnitin andrniThenticate online services, to bring its antiplagiarism powers to a new tool calledrnCrosscheck. The Crosscheck database "will include the full-text journals of leading academic publishers," CrossRef said, which will enable the published materials to be "text fingerprinted" for checking against new rnaterialsto stem illegal use. Crosscheck will be available to all CrossRef members willing to contribute their content to the database.
