E-reference Ratings

As promised when we first launched E-Reference Ratings in our Reference Announcements issue (LJ 11/15/08) and on our web site in November 2008, this "living" feature will continue to be expanded and updated as often as necessary to help you stay on top of the ever-growing universe of e-resources. In this first update to the feature, Carrie Benbow of Toronto P.L. takes a look at some of the best-known travel and tourism resources out there and determines what their strengths and weaknesses are. As you will see, this is a tricky category that often does not stand alone but is absorbed into broader subjects, such as business and government, or entails more than you think it does.
