Our population is aging. Not only are baby boomers now reaching retirement age, but people are generally living longer. There is a need to better understand and support this relatively active stage of life that follows the phase of traditional work and family life. This volume offers essential concepts and current statistics on this growing population segment and explores opportunities for meeting the needs of older adults through library services.
