Established by RUSA (Reference and User Services Association), a division of the American Library Association, and funded by Arthur Brody in honor of his philanthropist wife, the Sophie Brody Medal commends outstanding achievements in Jewish literature. The committee, staffed by 12 librarians from across the country, awards one title annually. Honor books may be chosen at the committee's discretion. The 2006 and 2007 medal winners were reviewed in LJ 4/1/07. This column brings readers up-to-date through the 2010 awards.
