One of the best mystery bookstores around, Mysteries To Die For in the Southern California community of Thousand Oaks consistently draws major authors on the West Coast circuit. Visiting recently with one of the store's partners, Alan Chisholm, I queried him about local tastes. All three partners agree: Cold Dish by Craig Johnson is a sure-bet recommendation. Their monthly book group doesn't always agree, but it's thumbs-up for Colin Cotterill's The Coroner's Lunch. What were they reading in April? One of the Edgar nominees, of course: The News Where You Are by Catherine O'Flynn.
