The news that starting on March 7 HarperCollins was going to allow ebooks to circulate only 26 times before the license expires went like wildfire through the librarian community.rnIt was the first significant revision to lending terms for ebook circulation, and the mostly hostile reception forced HarperCollins and OverDrive (digital book vendor for most public libraries) to do some damage control in the days after the initial announcement on February 24.
