In San Francisco, community engagement led to plans to re place the North Beach Library with a $14.5 million building and an upgrade to the Joe DiMaggio Playground, with which the library shares land. The new two-level library will offer three distinct areas for adults, teens, and children, each set off by floor-to-roof cor ner windows.
