ALA MIDWINTER CONFERENCE REPORT

The American Library Association's (ALA) Midwinter Meeting attracted a healthy crowd of library and information professionals to Dallas, January 20-24. Attendees were able to choose from among 1800 meetings and events as well as view the offerings from some 425 exhibitors at the Dallas Convention Center. From the President's Program, which featured author and philanthropist Richard C. Harword, to the popular Top Tech Trends panel (see InfoTech, p. 14) to vigorous debate over how libraries can ensure access to digital resources, the conference did not disappoint.
