Swets Launches APC Management Service

Global information services company Swets in July launched a new service to help academic libraries pay for and manage article processing charges (APC) on an institutional scale. The move comes in response to a sharp increase in fee-based open access (OA) publishing in the UK, "but also may well influence other parts of the world," Robert Jacobs, commercial director for Swets UK, told LJ.
