Loida Garcia-Febo, a 2007 LJ Mover & Shaker, was recently elected the American Library Association (ALA) president-elect for 2018-19. She has worked as a librarian domestically and internationally and is president of Information New Wave, an international nonprofit working to bring information access to underserved populations.
