Mullite refractiory castables with low and ultra-low cement content

The ultra-fine reactive additions play an important role especially in castables with less 5/100 of calcium high alumina cement. For these castables, the mechanical strengths continuously increase with the temperature increase. At temperature over 700-800 deg.C, they exceed castable's strength with 9-10/100 cement. At the same time, the porosity is the lowest. The simultaneous use of specific disperisn - deflocculating addition gives compact castables with almost double mechanical strengths in comparison with the castable without additions.
