Nominal compositions of BaO : M_2O_3: TiO_2=6: 1: 4 and 6: 7/6: 4 (M=Y and Nd) were prepared in the BaO- rich region of BaO-M_2O_3-TiO_2 (M=Y and nd) ternary system. The formation process and phase composition of these ceramics were studied. Results showed that the stoichiometry of the observed main phase in both 6BaO : 1M_2O_3: 4TiO_2 and 6BaO : 7/6M_2 O_3 : 4TiO_2 compositions should be BaO: M_2O_3 : TiO_2=6 : 1 : 4(M=Y and Nd).
