pervoskite type mixed oxides laMnO_3, laFeO_3, the perovskite-related structure La_2CuO_4 and the substitution series La_1-xAg_xMnO_3, La_1-xCu_xMnO_3, la_1-xAg_xCoO_3, La_1-xCu_xCoO_3 (x=0,0...0,2) were prepared and tested and tested as catalysts for decomposition of Nitrous oxide into nitrogen and oxygen. All samples were prepared by co-precipitation of Hydroxides and following thermal treatment of the dried precipitates and characterized by X-ray diffraction, analysis of the specific surface area (BET) and analysis of oxygen or cation Vacancies.
