摘要

Mullite samples were prepared by using sol-gel method. The samples were synthetized using commercial α-alumina and silica obtained by alkoxide route with different silica-alumina ratios the influence of this fact on the characteristics of the final products was studied. The stoichiometric proportion, alumina excess (20 wt./100) and silica excess (20 wt./100) were used. The working temperatures ranged 900 deg.C to 1600 deg.C. with the purpose to get a more closed contact between the oxide particles, mullite samples from both oxides by sol-gel process was prepared in a stoichiometric ratio.
