摘要

Control of interface mechanical properties by fugitive Mo coating in single crystgal sapphire fiber-reinforced Al2O3 matrix composites has been studied. The controllable gap width is larger than≈1μ m.The interface shear sliding stgress is controlled by the gap width and this evidence proves possibility of tailoring the interface shear sliding resistance. Within this study,the range of average interface shear sliding stress is from zero to 20MPa.
