Analysis of the Polished Surface Layer on the Glossy Granite Machined by Diamond Abrasives

In the present paper, an investigation was directed towards the formation mechanisms for diamond ground and polished granite surfaces by monitoring their appearances at each separated stages ranging from sawing to fine polishing. SEM was employed to study the morphologies of machined surfaces and XRD was employed to analyze the structure of polished surfaces.
