摘要

The reaction between Al_2O_3-SiO_2 ceramics in the presence of BaO and a typical aluminium alloy (type "356.0") with Si as a major alloy element has been investigated within 800- 1050 deg. C and holding times from 4h to 24 h, under vacuum. SEM, XRD and EDS techniques employed, revealed a thin Al_2O_3-based and homogeneous reaction-zone at the ceramic/metal interface towards the ceramic. In the metal side, small particles with a nominal composition 30 Al- 12 Ba-58 Si were randomly adhered at the interface.
