摘要

Nano titanium nitride-alumina composite powder was successfully prepared by in-situ nitridation method. At first, alumina powder coated with TiO_2-Al_2O_3 nano particles was prepared by the heterogeneous precipitation method. Then, TiO_2-Al_2O_3 nano composite powder obtained was nitrided using NH_3 gas s a reductive agent at the given temperature. The nitridation temperature ranged from 700 deg. C to 900 deg. C, while the nitridation time varied from 2 hours to 5 hours. The effects of the nitridation temperature and holding time on the powder properties were discussed.
