摘要

Based on the present situation of the short life-usage and the low-quality conventional refractory on blast furnace of ceramic cup , the based alumina-mullite refractory reinforced by in-situ sintering sialon as investigated using silicon nitrogen as starting powder under reductive atmo- sphere. The synthesizing process, together with microstructural characteristic, mechanical property and oxidizing resistance were studied. The experimental results indicated the sialon/alumina-mullite composites can be successfully prepared under the condition of non-nitride atmosphere at electrical furnace.
