摘要

From Tables 1 and 2 it is clear that there is a wide variation between friction factors for the different joints when tested with CMC fluids at viscosities close to physiological conditions. Previous studies have found the friction of all ceramic joints tested with CMC fluids to be approximately one order of magnitude lower than the friction within conventional metal/ceramic- on-UHMWPE joints. However, in this study, two of the joints produced friction factors that were more akin to those produced by metal/ceramic-on-UHMWPE joints.
