Preparation and Properties of Silicon Carbide Reticulated Porous Ceramics

Porous ceramics is getting more and more important especially for environment protecting. Silicon Carbide has been considered to be one of the best candidate materials for high temperature melting metal filter and diesel exhaust filter because of its low thermal expansion coefficient, high thermal conductivity and mechanical properties. In this paper, the study of silicon carbide porous ceramics will be concentrating in controlling rheological behavior of slurries (including Zeta potential; PH value; viscosity) and improving processing technology.
