Studied were the effects of the grain size graduation of silicon carbide and the type of oxide addition on the properties of silicon carbide material. The experimental results showed that the bending strength increased with the increase in the content of the fine powder when the content of the fine powder is less than 45%, and the content of the coarse grain is invariable. The bending strength increased with the increase in the content of the medium powder when the content of the medium powder is less than 35%, and the ratio is 1 : 1 between coarse grains and fine grains; Calcium Oxide is of benefit for improving the bending strength.
