Microstructure of Porous Sr-Doped Lanthanum Manganite Fabricated by Sol-Gel Process

摘要

Porous thin film of Sr-doped lanthanum manganite, La_(0.8)Sr_(0.2)MnO_3 (LSM), have been prepared by sol-gel method, and spin-coated on yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) substrates. Polyacrylic acid (PAA) was used as a chelating agent to control the porosity, thickness, microstructure, and the triple phase boundary (TPB) of the LSM films. The results show that crack-free thin LSM films can be achieved at a LSM/PAA ratio ranged from 0.5 to 2 and the concentration of LSM precursor 1.0 M. The microstructure of the films consisted of submicron LSM grains in various dense features.
