摘要

This paper experimentally investigates the elastic-plastic dynamic response and buckling mechanism of steel columns under vertical ground excitation induced by underground explosions. Shaking table test is carried out to simulate the underground explosion. Elastic-plastic dynamic response and buckling mechanism of the columns are analyzed. A dynamic buckling criterion and a criterion for dynamic yielding are defined. The effects of mass ratio and frequency ratio are also investigated. The results indicate that the elastic-plastic dynamic buckling of the steel columns is strongly related to the ground motion frequency and the added mass on the top of the column.
