Fracture criterion for rock/concrete bimaterial interface was investigated. Two kinds of rock/concrete bimaterial specimens were designed and fabricated, and three-dimensional mixed mode fracture tests were performed on these specimens. There were three steps in experimental investigation. The stress intensity factors of specimen per unit load with different combinations of K_Ⅰ, K_Ⅱ and K_Ⅲ were calculated by the mixed hybrid finite element method. Experiments on three-dimensional mixed mode fracture were conducted to obtain critical load P_(cr). Based on stress intensity factor per unit load and critical load, 23 groups of critical stress intensity factors of specimens were calculated, and from which criterion of the three-dimensional mixed mode interface fracture for rock/concrete was derived. The conclusion of this paper can be applied to the fracture analysis of interface between dam and foundation.
