摘要

The mutual coherent characteristics of the distributed optical fiber temperature sensor, which is based on white light interference using mode conversion between polarized modes in polarization maintaining fiber, are analyzed. The spatial resolution, the maximum sensing fiber length, and the temperature resolution of the sensor are obtained. Experimental results show that the output of the sensor is proportional to temperature if only the extinction ratio of the sensing fiber keeps invariable.
