摘要

In this paper, the different methods based on the mechanism of electrochemical mechanical finishing (ECMF) are presented; a new and high efficiency finishing method, pulse electrochemical mechanical finishing (PECMF) is introduced. The advantages of PECMF are analyzed and discussed; the influence of initial interelectrode gap, applied voltage, pulse parameters, grain size, composition and concentration of the electrolyte on the resulting surface finish and rate of smoothing were investigated. The experiment results indicate that PECMF can obtain both good smoothing efficiency and mirror surface quality simultaneity at low costs.
