Research On The Service-oriented Price Quotation Method And System For Rapid Prototyping

Rapid prototyping (RP) was an advanced manufacturing technology which satisfied the individuation products. With the development of RP technology, RP providers were always facing the urgent price quotation requirements for RP parts from customers in today's competition market. In order to support the enterprises to achieve more competitive, this paper developed a service-oriented price quotation system. The paper presented a price quotation model for the RP parts and quotation methods for all RP technologies based on volume technical parameter method. And we proposed a new quoting price system frame using service-oriented architecture and it provided price quotation service for the RP enterprises, standardized their internal management as well as effectively managed the inquiry and bargain between enterprises. Thus the system ensures the price quotation accurately and rapidly.
