Is Argentina ready to promote renewable energies?

In spite of the abundance of natural resources such as wind or sunlight, oil and natural gas have been the main component of Argentina's energy matrix for the last 40 years. Nowadays, solar and wind energies are likely to be an alternative source to traditional energy generation in Argentina, as domestic production of oil and natural gas is decreasing. Recently, national and local governments have been working on a number of investments programmes to exploit natural resources and to develop renewable energies in Argentina.
