Certificate of Achievement Assessments 2016

In 2016 a number of candidates in different disciplines submitted their work for assessment at two venues, Bishop Grosseteste University, Lincoln (at which the AGM and Conference were held in early June), and Killerton House in Devon (at which the National Exhibition was held in September). Several of the successful candidates report on their experiences of working towards the Certificate. Experience of Africa inspired my interest in textile crafts and how I might use them there. This particularly influenced my style of spinning. My yarns are useful mainly for double knit rather than fine work. My test piece was a ceremonial shawl suited to an African Elder.
