Spotlights on Recent JACS Publications

摘要

Spherical nucleic acids (SNAs), nanoparticles decorated with a high density of DNA strands, have been used in several applications including as nanounits in DNA-programmed assembly, imaging, sensing, and therapeutics. Despite the potential of these constructs, a regular SNA synthesis is very time-consuming and requires great caution to avoid nano-particle aggregation. New synthesis methods are necessary to improve the practicality of SNAs.
