摘要

The reaction of hyperthermal (5-20 eV) O~+ with an isotopically labeled self-assembled monolayer demonstrates that hydrogen ion is strongly site-specific. At 5 eV incident energy, ion of hydrogen from the terminal methyl group is favored by a factor of 4.6 over ion from the methylene group iust below it.
