摘要

No practical methods exist for asymmetric hydrogenation of tert-alkyl ketones,despite tremendous efforts made to date.Chiral RuX_2(binap)(l,2-diamine)complexes(X=anionic ligand)with34 or without a strong base allow rapid,enantioselective hydrogenation of various simple,unfunctionalized ketones,where 2-propanol is the solvent of choice.However,for an obvious steric reason,tert-alkyl ketones are feebly reactive in this hydrogenation.
