摘要

One-dimensional(1-D)nanostructures,such as wires,rods,tubes,and belts,have received increasing interest from various fields of science.In the past decade,remarkable advances have been made in the synthesis and characterization of such materials,which are expected to open the way for nanoelectronics,ultra small optical devices,biosensors,etc.The challenge is how to build desired architectures from long and rigid 1-D nanostructures.In the past,isotropic nanoparticles were used as building blocks of superlattices and 3-D microspheres.
