摘要

To analyze the hot-deformation behavior of aluminum alloy 5083, this work shows the results of free-forming tests at constant pressure in different pressure and temperature conditions. Results of the non-superplastic AA5083 are compared with results obtained with the same material but in superplastic conditions. Though formability is quite reduced in non-superplastic grade aluminum alloy 5083, the hot-deformation process is able to reduce operating temperature and time of final forming if forming pressure is increased.
