Introduction

With the booming construction of pavement and bridges and the need for maintenance of existing transportation infrastructure, China is becoming the test-bed for new ideas, new designs, and new technologies. This special issue on "Emerging Asphalt Pavement in China: Design, Construction, Evaluation, and Recycling" summarizes the state-of-the-art advancement and cutting-edge research in related areas, which are written by some of the leading researchers in China.
