摘要

The present paper is devoted to the study. of a two-dimensional model of a polytropic atmosphere, oro graphic influences being taken into account. It has been shown by computer analyses that there exist several regimes of functioning of such a model (stationary, quasi-stationary stable in a periodic and aperiodic sense, nonstationary multifrequence, well correlated and nonstationary multifrequency, quasi-chaotic). The results of those analyses have been used to design a usable model for forecasting air flow in a region of varied orographic structure. Use has been made of the telescopic method to economize the computation process. The practical difficulties of modelling connected with the possibility of generating air flows belonging to different regimes of functioning have been pointed out. Some suggestions have been made to enable us to avoid some of those difficulties.
