Image retrieval system based on color-complexity and color-spatial features

摘要

This paper proposes a color-complexity image feature which can effectively describe the color variation of the pixels in an image. This paper also presents a color-spatial feature to state the pixel color distributions on different locations in an image. Because these two features are highly complementary, this paper integrates them to provide an image retrieval system. Experimental results show that the recognition ability of the system can be drastically enhanced after integrating these two image features.
