Bound of Earthquake Input Energy

The writer thanks the discussers for their interest in the paper. The discussers raised two points: (1) the possibility of occurrence of the maximum value of the earthquake input energy at an arbitrary time before the end of the input, and (2) the modified approximation of the earthquake input energy. As for the first point, it is important to note that the writer clearly defined in Eq. (1) in the discussed paper the earthquake input energy E_I as the work of the ground on the structural system from the beginning of the input to the end of the input. The discussers appear to have overlooked this definition. If the definition of input energy is expanded, it seems natural that the maximum value of "the earthquake input energy" the discussers argue can occur at an arbitrary time. The writer would like to present an expression of "the earthquake input energy" in the frequency domain until an arbitrary time before the end of the input.
