TOLERANCE LIMITS FOR LIFETIME DISTRIBUTION OF k-UNIT PARALLEL SYSTEM

摘要

This article provides one-sided β-expectation and β-content γ-level tolerance limits for the lifetime distribution of k-unit parallel system, when lifetimes of the units are independent and exponentially distributed with the same mean. The adequacy of proposed Tolerance Intervals (TIs) is evaluated using simulation for k = 2, 3 and 5. Also sample size determination for the β-content γ-level TI is reported.
