Managing and Archiving Records in the Digital Era: Changing Professional Orientations, Proceedings of the ERPANET Workshop held at the Swiss Federal Archives, Bern, 25-26 October 2004

This volume originates from some of the papers presented at the ERPANET (Electronic Resource Preservation and Access Network) project meeting in Berne in 2004, hosted by the Swiss Federal Archives. The chapter by Bruno Delmas is written in French but the remainder are in English. The authors are drawn from an international constituency of experts, and there is a section giving a short biographical profile at the end of the volume. The 10 chapters deal with a varietyrnof perspectives on contemporary issues, and the titles are informative to a variable degree. They range from 'Everyone is an archivist' to 'Managing and archiving administrative records in the digital era-the instrumentality of electronic records for administrative communication'. Readers of this work will already be familiar with UK archival educators and authors, including Elizabeth Shepherd and Michael Moss, and European institutions are represented by Maria Guercio, Angelika Menne-Haritz and Eric Ketelaar. The authorship includes North American and Australasian researchers and educators Helen Tibbo and Barbara Reed respectively.
