EDITORIAL

Welcome to the first issue of 2009 and to a new editorial team. We are delighted to be taking on the Journal of the Society of Archivists, which has firmly established its place in the top rank of Anglophone journals in the field of archives and records management; indeed it has been given the highest possible rating (A) by the European Reference Index for the Humanities. We are greatly indebted to the previous editors, to Andrew Flinn, whose work as articles editor for the past six years has been outstanding, to Kate Manning, and to Kim Barata, who continues as reviews editor.
