The theoretical relationship between market concentration and commercial SME cooperation in retailing is clear: as Large firms tend to dominate the market. More SMEs participate in commercial Cooperative SME organizations. How- Ever, quantitative tests of this hypothesis Are hard to find. In this article, the relationship be- Tween market concentration and com- Mercial SME cooperation is tested for the Retail sector in The Netherlands. Statisti- Cally significant results supporting the Hypothesis were found.
