Small businesses typically have slim organizational structures when com- pared to their large business counter- parts. Therefore, should the death of a key executive occur in a small corpora- tion, conventional wisdom would predict that a decline in the stock price would likely follow, in part because of the inad- equacy of management depth. The research described in this study was directed at the "small" corporate sample of firms.
