It is important to mention two major- limitations of this study before any con- clusions may be drawn. The small sam- ple size does not permit generalization of the findings to all firms in the small in- dustry sector. Similarly, the firms studied, although representative of small industry in the Illawarra region, may not be rep- resentative of small industry throughout Australia. Despite these limitations, the Study provides some insight into some Firm-specific factors affecting growth in Small manufacturing firms in Australia.
