World of the Skandapurana: Northern India in the Sixth and Seventh Centuries

This volume is the sixth instalment of the Skandapurana: Supplement to Groningen Oriental Studies series, and the first since Brill has taken over the series from the Groningen-based Egbert Forsten. There is, happily, no noticeable difference in the high quality and careful editing to distinguish it from the earlier volumes in this series, one which comprises some two decades of research on the Skandapurana in the ongoing preparation of its critical edition. This volume features more colour illustrations than the earlier volumes, along with maps that are now courtesy of Google Earth.
