摘要

Combinatorial chemistry methods have unleashed a powerful strategy for the diversity-based discovery of new research leads with desired chemical, biological, or physi- cal properties. A centerpiece in this area is solid-phase organic synthesis, which has been used for many years in the effective preparation of oligopeptides and oligo- nucleotides, but has only recently come to the forefront in the preparation of small organic molecules.
